Craving a soft, delicious, gluten-free flatbread that holds up for wraps, sandwiches, pizzas, and more? This easy recipe is made with our Mama Alana’s Pantry Gluten-Free & Vegan Bread Mix (yes, the same one you love!)—just with a simple twist.
We skip the yeast and sugar packets in this version and add protein-packed yogurt to make magic happen. It’s higher in protein, super satisfying, and tastes incredible—no one will believe it’s gluten-free!
✨ You’ll Need:
• 1 bag Mama Alana’s Pantry Gluten-Free & Vegan Bread Mix (yeast & sugar packets set aside for another time)
• 1 (32 oz) container plain Greek yogurt or your favorite plain dairy-free yogurt
• Optional: Light oil for coating (like avocado or olive oil)
🥣 Directions:
1. Combine the entire bread mix with the yogurt in a mixing bowl. Use a dough hook or your hands to mix until a soft, pliable dough forms.
2. Divide into balls depending on your desired size. I usually make 10 even pieces from one mix.
3. Optional: Lightly roll each dough ball in oil for added flavor and a beautiful finish.
4. Flatten each ball either using a rolling pin or a tortilla press. Do it slowly—flatten, turn, flatten again—until you have your desired thickness.
5. Cook on a hot, oiled skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook each side for about 1–2 minutes, or until golden brown and soft.
💡 Use Them For:
• Wraps
• Flatbread sandwiches
• Mini pizzas
• Dipping in soups or hummus
• Quick breakfast toast
🍴 My Favorite Way to Eat It:
I grilled up some fresh veggies, melted on some pepper jack cheese (or dairy-free cheese), then added lettuce, tomato, and a drizzle of Italian dressing—all stacked inside this beautiful flatbread.
It. Was. Everything. 😍
Soft, foldable, sturdy, and NOT AT ALL what people expect from gluten-free bread!
