Ingredients:Non-GMO constarch, White Rice Flour, Brown Rice Flour, Oat Flour, Tapioca Four, Potato Starch, Xanthan Gum, powdered sugar, ground cloves. 

*These cookies mixes are made to order. 
*Made in a dedicated Gluten-Free Facility. 
Gluten-Free Yaya’s Cookies (Kourabiedes)
*Makes about 20 cookies
- 1 bag of  Mama Alana’s Yaya’s Cookies - Gluten-Free Kourabiedes with a Vegan Option 
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened (can be vegan)
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 1 egg (or one vegan egg)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 32 oz bag of powdered sugar
~remove bag of cloves from your cookie mix bag**
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, Crisco, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
3. Slowly add the bag mix to the creamed mixture, incorporating it gradually until a dough forms.
4. Take the dough and shape it into diamond shapes on the parchment-lined cookie sheet. Place one clove in the center of each diamond-shaped cookie.
5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cookies turn light golden brown.
6. Once out of the oven, transfer the cookies to a cooling rack for about five minutes.
7. While still warm, dip both sides of each cookie into powdered sugar.
8. Prepare an airtight container by sprinkling a layer of powdered sugar at the bottom.
9. Layer the dipped cookies in the container, separating each layer with a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Finish with a final layer of powdered sugar on top.
10. Allow the cookies to cool completely before sealing the container. Store in an airtight container for up to 5-7 days.
